Donal R. Hoy, 70, of Hunts Run Road, Emporium, PA died at Cleveland Clinic-Hill Crest, Mayfield Heights, Ohio on Thursday morning (March 11, 2021). He was born June 14, 1950 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Donal Vanzant and Rose D. Weisner Hoy. On June 17, 1972 in First United Methodist Church, Emporium, PA he married Susan Gore, who survives.

Donal graduated from St. Marys Area High School in the class of 1968. He served as Cameron County Auditor over 40 years. Owner and operator of "Definitely Different Womenswear and Dry Cleaning. He volunteered with the American Red Cross and Cameron County Historical Society. He was a member of the Emporium Men's Club, the Driftwood Emporium Lodge #532, F.and A.M. where he had served as Past Master. He enjoyed repairing antique clocks, traveling, playing cards, cooking and spending time with his beloved standard poodle "Bailey".

In addition to his wife Susan he is survived by two sisters, Deborah Broz, Thoms River, NJ; Susan (Brian) Saline, Kersey; five brothers, Andrew (Betsy) Hoy; Michael (Diane) Hoy; Richard (Lisa) Hoy; Daniel (Amy) Hoy, all of St. Marys; brother-in-laws Terry and Ned Gore of St.Marys and sister-in-law Bobbe Blessel of Emporium and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Hoy.

There will be no visitation. A private memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
